I have had diabetes for most of my conscious life - more than 10 years. I used to take several drugs at once to deal with all the symptoms. But about a month ago, my doctor insisted I try the diabetic medicine Ozempic. I started with the smallest dose, but after 2 weeks, I was given an average dose. The condition is moderate. Currently, I have a full bouquet of the most common side effects, including nausea, diarrhoea, insomnia and acid reflux. So I have to take sleeping pills and diarrhoea pills. In general, despite all my suffering, I like the effect of the medication. My sugar levels are back to normal. But I would like the drug to help me lose weight as well. My weight almost stands in place; I’ve lost only 2 kilograms. I read many reviews about how people lose 10 kilograms a month. Yesterday I came across a message on some ozempic weight loss forum that diabetics do not lose weight on Ozempic, and it became clear to me. Probably, this is my case. That is, the blood sugar level decreases, and the weight does not go away. Or goes away very slowly. Is anybody here with the same diagnosis? Please tell me whether you managed to lose weight or medication acts only as a normalizer of sugar levels?
