Hi,

I am in my late 40s, male, and between 6'2" and 6'3" with a broad build. Weight management has been a struggle for me for most of the past 20 years or so. I have had successful periods of losing significant amounts of weight, but I have never been successful at keeping it off long term. The trend has also been that my weight tends to hit new highs after a period of weight loss. Over the past couple of years, my weight has shot up from 250/265 lbs to a little over 300. I am not diabetic, but I am in the pre-diabetic category and have a A1C of 5.7.

My primary problem is portion control in evenings and also snacking (always in the evening). My daytime eating habits are pretty normal and healthy. All the trouble seems to start after 5pm. I would describe the behavior as succumbing to cravings, not so much "boredom" or "nervousness" or "emotion."

My doctor prescribed me Ozempic for weight loss, and I took my first injection at his office yesterday. He has me starting with 0.25 MG (1 dose weekly for six weeks), and then we will move me up to 0.5.

It has been 24 hours since my first shot, and I have not really felt much of anything different. I ate a little less last night than normal, but not much less. This morning I hit the gym and then had a pretty normal breakfast (two eggs on toast with some mixed fruit). Lunch was a turkey sandwich with a few pickles. Dinner will be sushi.

I don't feel any negative side effects so far, but I also wouldn't say I feel any obvious decline in hunger or "food noise" yet either. I am sure it takes longer than just a day or even a full week to kick in and start working, and I am happy to be patient, but I wanted to just get people's general thoughts and see if there was any advice for soemeone just getting started with this process.

Thanks very much.

I started my journey with Ozempic, with a 0.25 mg dosage, that I ordered from Canada at Buy Ozempic from Canada Online | Ozempic Canadian Pharmacy. At the same time, I was diligently following a diet (Noom -What is the Noom diet? Here's everything you can eat while using Noom) and constantly going to the gym. During the first week, I experienced some mild side effects from the gastrointestinal tract, such as abdominal pain and heartburn. However, I was lucky enough not to experience any nausea or other discomfort.

Within four weeks of taking this dose, I was able to lose 8 kilograms of weight. Encouraged by these results and the absence of significant side effects, I decided to continue taking the 0.25 mg dose and stick to my diet and exercise regimen.

Within 12 weeks, my dedication paid off and I successfully lost an impressive 24 pounds. It is noteworthy that I did not experience any negative side effects. It became apparent to me that the 0.25 mg dose was effective and there was no need to increase it as it could lead to unwanted side effects.

Keep yourself occupied so you don’t think about it too much or food if that helps as can be what help with cravings too.
