Injection sites?

Hi there! I am very excited to start my OZ journey. I just took my 1st dose (.25mg) of OZ this morning. It was difficult for me to give myself the shot in the side of my arm, the outside of thigh. I didn't want to inject into my belly. My doctor told me that taking the injection in the thigh seems to lead to fewer side effects, so I wanted to inject it there. So, I was able to easily inject into the INSIDE of my thigh (I have plenty of fat there). Is that okay? Or does it HAVE to be in one of those specific places?
Thank you for your advice.

Hi @mlleelise welcome to the family!:)
I understand your excitement about starting your Ozempic journey, especially when it's a new experience, always kinda scary to begin not knowing what to expect in your particular case. But do not worry, if you do it right (and apparently you do, since you've already consulted with a doctor, good for you!) everything should be fine and the results might even surprise you in a good way!

I'm not gonna lie, I only used Ozempic in my belly, but I read in an online group that many people also inject in their thighs. Some of them even seemed to have better results as in less to zero side effects. So, if your physician recommends it, then why not? I guess it doesn't really matter how much fat tissue you have in this site, once the medication gets inside it should be dissolved perfectly... here: "Essentially, it needs to be somewhere on your skin that's thick and fatty, and away from veins and muscles." that's what I've found about the injections. But you can still call your doc and ask about it to be completely certain.

I wish you a great journey, zero side effects and amazing results, please keep up posting and feel free to ask your questions here anytime!
