Been on Ozempioc for 14 weeks. So far, I have lost 15 lbs. First 12 weeks ,I had no appetite and didn't;'t snack. Don't know what happened, but my appetite has RETURNED and I'm almost always hungry. Don't know why. Gained 2 lbs back. What is going on??? A1C went from 6.5 -5.9

Hello Gerwiz ,

It's great to hear about your progress with Ozempic and the significant improvement in your A1C levels, going from 6.5 to 5.9 is fantastic!

As for the change in your appetite, it's not uncommon for people to experience variations in appetite during their weight loss journey or when taking medications like Ozempic. The initial decrease in appetite might have been a temporary side effect, and now your body could be adjusting to the medication.

A few factors could be contributing to your increased hunger and the slight weight gain:

  1. Hormonal Changes: Medications can sometimes affect hormone levels, which can influence appetite.
  2. Dietary Choices: Be mindful of your dietary choices. Sometimes, when people start feeling better or see improvements, they may relax their dietary restrictions unintentionally.
  3. Physical Activity: Changes in physical activity levels can also impact appetite and weight. Ensure you're maintaining a healthy level of physical activity.
  4. Consult Your Healthcare Provider: It's crucial to communicate these changes to your healthcare provider. They can provide personalized guidance and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.
Remember that weight fluctuations are normal, and what matters most is your overall health and your A1C levels, which are showing positive results. Keep up the good work, and don't hesitate to reach out to your healthcare provider for further advice on managing your appetite and weight.

Hello Gerwiz,
Congrats on your 20 weight loss!! The achievement I'd say, you did a great job!🎉

Sorry to hear the weight is back, is it because of the low dose you think? As if your body got used to the medication? Or must be the hunger...I can relate...
But maybe 7 is mostly fluids, depending on the time you gained it. Please don't worry! You lost 20, so you can lose these and more too, I am sure. I know it must be hard to stick to the same regimen for a long time, but you can do it. What about your mood, psychological condition? Maybe you need more support and motivation to keep your diet and physical activity stable. Is there something we can help you with in this case? If you need my advice, just let me know please:)
To be honest, I myself am in the middle of getting out of "sleepy mode", trying to revive my cycling routine, but so far haven't even cleaned up my bike yet))

Let's motivate each other?
