My lips are extremely dry and they look strange to me. The inside of my mouth feels dry and weird. It’s worst when I eat or drink. I‘m on Ozempic.50. Is anyone else experiencing this problem ? It is driving me crazy. I’ve tried mouth moisturizer and hard sugar free candy nothing seems to help.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing dryness and discomfort while using Ozempic. It's important to note that medication side effects can vary from person to person, and some individuals may indeed experience dryness in their lips and mouth while taking Ozempic.

You're not alone in this, I am certain. However, I always recommend to consult with your healthcare provider about your symptoms. They can provide you with personalized advice and may be able to adjust your medication or recommend other ways to manage these side effects effectively.

In the meantime, here are some general tips that may help alleviate dryness:

  1. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to combat mouth dryness.
  2. Use Lip Balm: Applying a good-quality lip balm or moisturizer can help relieve dry lips.
  3. Humidify Your Environment: Using a humidifier in your home can add moisture to the air, which may help with dryness in your mouth and lips.
  4. Avoid Irritants: Try to avoid harsh or alcohol-based mouthwashes, which can exacerbate dryness. Opt for a gentle, alcohol-free mouthwash instead.
  5. Chew Sugarless Gum or Sip Water: Chewing sugarless gum or sipping water throughout the day can help stimulate saliva production, which can relieve dry mouth.
  6. Remember, everyone's body reacts differently to medications, and your healthcare provider is the best resource for addressing any concerns or side effects you may be experiencing. If this condition persists, I think it's better to ask your GP in case our tips do not help.
I hope at least one of my tips will solve your problem. I wish you best experience with Ozempic! Keep us posted. Hugs!
