Hello. Iā€™m going to take Ozempic for both diabetes and weight loss. Also, I do have a general anxiety disorder. Nothing too serious; Iā€™ve got it all under control. But still, it worries me cause Iā€™ve read the drug can worsen my condition. The info is rather controversial, and I donā€™t know what to believe. One people write that Ozempic made them even more anxious and even depressed. Simultaneously, some studies show opposite results. Iā€™ve read that diabetic medication Ozempic can increase brain serotonin, leading to better moods and overall well-being.

Furthermore, Iā€™ve heard that diabetes condition is often linked to anxiety symptoms. Did you know about it? And by curing diabetes, the drug is curing anxiety too. Something like that. But I only found a theory, not real peopleā€™s experiences. It would be cool to hear from real Ozempic users.

Is it true that people with diabetes are more likely to suffer from anxiety than those without metabolic disorders? Does it mean that my Ozempic weight loss journey will help me to get rid of anxiety too? It would be super if itā€™s true. Please, share your experience if you have anxiety disorder and have taken Ozempic. How did the drug influence your condition?

Hi MsBrook,
I think the information is contentious due to the fact that every one of us is unique. Individuals respond in a variety of unique ways. Even though I have an anxiety problem, I took Ozempic for weight loss. I should clarify that I do not have diabetes. So I continued to struggle with the same disease without making any progress. No better, no worse. If you suffer from diabetes, the answer most likely will pan out for you exactly as you described it.It sounds logical: diabetes causes anxiety, the drug cures diabetes, so anxiety might go away together with its reason. But once again, nobody knows for sure unless you give it a go. Hope I helped :)
